Established in 1989 in cooperation with Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, the Accounting program started its independent running in 1994. In 2006, CPA Australia granted the program international certification and offered scholarships to our students. In 2012, a training program of Accounting was launched in our school by the British Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
This program aims at cultivating multidisciplinary professionals with a good command of English skills and professional competence in accounting with a global vision. We offer double degree and double program for our students. Students in our school will receive a bachelor’s degree of management after passing the thesis defense. Those who minor in English will receive a bachelor’s degree of arts (minor) upon completion of the required credits.
Curriculum
Core Courses: Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Management, Basic Accounting, Intermediate Financial Accounting, Advanced Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Management Accounting, Financial Management, Auditing, Accounting Information System, Economic Law, Tax Law, Probability and Mathematical Statistics, etc.
English Language Courses: Intensive Reading, Extensive Reading, Listening, Speaking, Writing, Translation, etc.. A small-sized class teaching model is adopted for all English courses. Students can take TEM 4 and TEM 8 in the sophomore year and the senior year respectively, and those who have passed the afore-mentioned test are awarded a certificate of the corresponding test, and are recognized as having the same proficiency in English as English majors.

Our graduates have good employment prospects, and they are among the most sought-after by employers, including the top four international accounting firms (PwC, KPMG, Ernst & Young, Deloitte) and the top ten domestic accounting firms such as Grant Thornton, Chinese and foreign banks (e.g.,HSBC, Bank of Communications, etc.), medium-sized and large domestic and foreign-funded enterprises, consulting companies and government agencies (e.g.,Unilever, Siemens, Accenture, the Baosteel, etc.).
