The University of Valencia (UV), founded in 1499, is one of the 50 oldest universities in the world and one of the leading academic institutions both in Spain and in Europe. Credited with International Excellence by the Spanish government, UV occupies a unique position among Spanish universities in the most prestigious academic international rankings, maintaining a leading position in teaching and research in all branches of knowledge, and is the second European university in the number of Erasmus students received. Currently, it has approximately 55,000 students (45,000 undergraduates and 10,000 postgraduates) studying in 67 undergraduate programs, 76 postgraduate programs, 80 official master’s degree programs and 100 doctoral programs.
The SISU-UV exchange program was initiated by SISU’s Spanish Department in 2009. The program was renewed in 2014. Every year, one to two SEF students study at UV on a six-month exchange program.
