To further develop SEF’s applied economics into a first-rate discipline, and to promote the programs of Data Science & Big Data and Finance which feature cutting-edge concept, we have established Lab for Data Science and Big Data Technology. The establishment of the lab will provide a strong support for a high-level research work.

The lab is equipped with advanced servers and computing clusters. With its powerful computing capabilities and rich economic and financial data resources, the lab can support sophisticated big data applications and research in the economic and financial fields. Moreover, the results and achievements from research work conducted in the lab can provide technical support for the teaching and experimenting of big data-related courses, such as Data Science and Big Data Technology, Finance, etc., thus making cultivating talents with multi-disciplinary skills possible.
