Established in 1988 following the merger between several large-scale higher education institutions, the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences was then joined by the Hogeschool voor Economische Studies in 2002. As one of the major universities of applied sciences in the Netherlands, the university has 11 schools, offering the chance to study on one of more than 90 graduate and undergraduate programs in seven fields: arts, business, technology, media and information technology, behavior and society, education, and health. There are almost 30,000 students and classes are held at eight different locations throughout Rotterdam’s city center, with one campus in the neighboring city of Dordrecht. Rotterdam Business School (RBS) is the international business school of Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences. Over 2,500 students are currently enrolled in English-taught bachelor and master programs. Education, business placements, exchange programs and practical research projects are all aimed at preparing students for a career in international business. Real-life business cases provided by international companies are at the heart of many courses.
SISU and RUAS established a framework of cooperation in 2012. An agreement for a program of academic exchange and cooperation was signed in 2014 and renewed in 2018. This program allows both parties to exchange students for one semester. We can send up to 6 students per year to RUAS.
